11-01-03_ Kiss Kiss (mating mandarinfish) _IMG_1070.jpg

The nightly mating dance of mandarinfish (mandarin dragonet) begins near the rubble bottom, when the female consenting to be approached cheek-to-cheek by the smaller male. Swimming cheek-to-cheek, the pair circle and rise a few inches, then release and part. (Photo from the Lembeh Strait, North Sulawesi, Indonesia.)
