The creation of an HDR image involves taking multiple exposures of the same subject using a wide range of exposures, which are then combined through a process intended to preserve the detail in all parts of the frame. HDR attempts to overcome the limitations of the camera to approximate more closely what the human eye and brain perceive when we view a scene that includes a range of light from bright highlights to dark shadows. This collection is drawn from all other galleries and does not include conventional exposures or "pseudo-HDR" images developed from a single exposure.
