A stylized "Jesus crucified" overlooks the view of the Promised Land (now Israel), as Moses must have seen it at the top of Mt. Nebo, Jordan. Today a Christian church stands here, but across the ages, peoples of all religions have been able to worship here without persecution. This was even true in as Christians were persecuted elsewhere in Ancient Rome, and continued though the Crusades and the Islamic caliphates, all the way to today. © Rick Collier
